Speech
The Speech panel is used to turn Speech on and off.
Highlighted words are still spoken off if you chose that option in the highlight
panel. The Speech function refers to speaking the regular channel text. The list
is a specific view of the contacts list that shows if words by a particular contact
is spoken out and if so, which voice. As you saw in the Channel preference panel,
each channel can have a default voice assigned to it.
In addition to this you can assign another voice to a contact or even exclude
that contact from being spoken. If you do not assign a specific voice, the default
channel voice is used.
